If you're like me when you visit a new website, one of the first thing you do is visit the "about us" page. You scan it and look for neat facts and try to figure out how they are trying to portray themselves to you. Basically, that's what this page is about, but I hope to be a little more sincere and open up on a more personal level, because I believe that's the truest form of communication. If you don't have time to read this whole page (and I don't blame you), just take a look at the box to the right which highlights some random facts about me.
Personal Life
I am the oldest of three children (the only boy), and we were all raised by our hard working mother. She instilled in me a good work ethic and a determination to always do my best. I lived in Ocala, Florida for most of my life and fell in love with communicating creatively through various opportunities at my church, employment at Merit Advertising Corp., and as an on-air presenter for a local radio station.
I moved to Tampa, Florida to pursue professional endeavors and to complete my college education at the University of South Florida. In 2009, I founded my own communications and marketing comany, Swerve Communications Group, LLC as an alternative source of income and professional development. Swerve is still growing and I am fortunate to have a great group of clients who I enjoy "Swerving".
I do my best to give back to my community. I am actively involved in the community and do my best to volunteer with various causes such as Hands On Tampa and why I contribute annually to the United Way of Tampa Bay. I am also a former segment co-chair in the EMERGE Program of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. In that role I planned monthly volunteer projects for our members and cultivated awareness of the various non-profit organizations in Tampa.
In my personal time, I enjoy running, kayaking, spending time with my family and friends, and finding new and interesting places in Tampa.
